Details on the building
The street wings of the building, located on a roughly rectangular plot at Vágóhíd and Vaskapu streets, will be joined by two wings not visible from the outside, forming a large inner garden of about 50x50 meters, while an 'L' shaped outer garden of 10-12 meters in width will separate the residential complex from the neighbors. The inner garden will be designed as a quiet ornamental park, while the outer garden will contain a multifunctional playground.
The building complex is divided vertically into two parts, the square, three-story low part (ground floor + 3 floors), which is also connected to the neighboring buildings, and the 4 higher buildings (floors 4-10) that grow out of it. The most characteristic feature of Metrodom Green is the green façade covering the towers from the fifth to the tenth floor, where the greenery is preplanted with runners. These are already growing in a nursery and will be maintained by a watering system in frontal planters. The lower wings will also have a green area on top, an intensive green roof, so that the residents will be able to enjoy living plants looking down on the garden or the roof. The green roof has a positive impact on the climate and energy efficiency, and the layer of soil itself provides extra insulation. The roofs of the four taller wings will also not remain unused. The roof of building A of phase 1 will be used as a sun terrace and a small clubhouse, while the roof of building B will be covered by solar panels for the communal consumption of the residential complex. The interior of the building will also feature special solutions. On entering the complex, residents are greeted by an impressive 12-metre high, spacious and bright lobby. This will house a small design café with a street terrace, which will be open to residents and visitors alike. The unique interior design continues upstairs, the corridors in the low wing will be connected by spaces illuminating a 2-level space each, creating bright, airy, lively spaces instead of the boring corridors of larger residential buildings.
Below the residential complex, the basement level houses the garage, where each parking space has its own electric car charger, details of which can be found on this page.>>>
In addition to private parking, there is also a 3-stall green-go point, so residents can use the car-sharing service without having to leave the building to go out onto the street.
