Grouting and edge protector

You can choose various colour coordinated types of grouting to go with the tiles, for a harmonious and stylish appearance. Here, however, it is advisable to take practicality into consideration as well as aesthetics. We don’t recommend white grouting for floor tiles, as its porous material absorbs muddy, dirty water, which discolours the grouting. You should also be careful about using very bright, vivid colours, because these are sensitive to the acids and alkalies in cleaning materials, which could cause the grouting to fade. Discoloured or dirty grouting cannot be subsequently restored or “repainted”.

It is also worth taking a look at the edge protectors, which come in several colours and designs. For modern styles of tiling the matt or polished chrome edge protector could be a good choice. These are not painted, but are made from real metal.

If repairs are necessary

After the building is completed, from among the products in the range shown on the website, Metrodom will store the leftover tiles. If later repairs are necessary under guarantee, and these necessitate the replacement of tiles, then we will use these so that the existing and replacement tiles match both in their colour tone and calibre.

If individual tiles are requested, then when delivering the flat we also hand over the leftover tiles, which are to be retained by the owner, and provided for the purpose of repairs if necessary.
