Location

TRANSPORTATION

Typically, the greener a neighborhood is, the more problematic is public transit, the location of the Metrodom Zugló residential complex, however, is exceptionally beneficial in this respect. Bosnyák tér, the district’s main transportation hub is accessible on foot in a few minutes, several bus lines (No. 7, 8E, 112) provides easy and quick access to other major hubs (Keleti pályaudvar, Örs vezér tere, Blaha Lujza tér, etc.).

Public transportation is not lacking at night either, both the No. 907 and 979 bus lines have stops on Bosnyák tér.

Car sharing services can be used in the entire territory of Zugló, the three main providers (MOL Limo, GreenGO and Drive Now) can all be used. The underground parking garage provides safe parking for privately owned cars, customers who own electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles can optionally buy power outlet for their parking slots, for further information, please visit this page.

Biking enthusiasts are most probably aware that the several bike paths run through Zugló and connects the neighborhood with the city center. Bicycles can be stored in a separate covered bike-storage under the arcades.

NEARBY SERVICES

The center of Zugló is very well served by smaller and bigger shops and several service providers. Major shopping can be done in the ALDI and Tesco supermarkets only a few minutes away from the residential complex, fresh produce can also be procured in the Bosnyák tér market, in the small bakeries or vegetables and fruits shops.

When children have outgrown the playground of the residential complex, parents can choose from several playgrounds in the neighborhood, and all types of educational institutions can also be found in the area. The nearby ’Micimackó Kuckója’ nursery, (8-minute walk), the ‘Zugló Kincskereső Óvoda’ pre-school (5 minutes), the Széchenyi István Primary School (10 minutes) and the Zugló Waldrof School (9 minutes) are only the nearest facilities but parents can choose from other institutions as well. THE BROADER VICINITY

There is lots to explore in the district. Its fame and charm are largely determined by its outstanding cultural life and beautiful Belle Époque architecture. Several cultural institutions, such as the Museum of Fine Arts and the ’Műcsarnok’ (Arts Hall) are located in the district, while nearby Széchenyi Bath and Paskál Bath, the Puskás Ferenc Stadium and the Papp László Sports Arena are available for less serious leisure activities.

The renewing ’Városliget’, the oldest public park of Budapest entertains big families. The Budapest Zoo, the Capital Circus of Budapest are also located here, so is the Icerink, one of the largest playgrounds awaiting visitors during the winter months.
