Location
Metrodom River is located in one of the best areas of already popular ’Újbuda’, roughly halfway between Rákóczi and the Galvani Bridge under construction, on the banks of the Danube. At the eastern gate of the residential park, you can exit directly to the riverside promenade, while the western car driveway and pedestrian entrance open to Budafoki út, which is a perfect connection for those traveling by car. (The residential park itself is separated from Budafoki út by the Telenor headquarters and the new office building to be built at the same time as the residential park.) The Danube bank not only impresses the residents with the view of the river, but also provides opportunities for long walks, jogging, cycling or even kayaking all year round, thanks to the residential community's own community boathouse. The promenade takes you to the southern entrance of the Kopaszi-gát in 10-12 minutes, where several restaurants and entertainment venues are available for visitors.
The residential park also has outstanding qualities in terms of public transport. The bus stop for the 133E line, which takes you to the center of Pest without transfer (Március 15. tér - Ferenciek tere - Blaha Lujza tér - Keleti PU) is a one-minute walk from the residential complex. From the same bus stop line 103 takes you to the Bikás park station on metro line 4 in a few minutes. A short, 8-minute walk will take you to the stops of tram lines 1 and 41. The former connects the Kelenföld railway station via Rákóczi bridge with Népliget, the Puskás Ferenc stadium, and Városliget, the latter provides access to Szent Gellért tér, Batthyány tér, Clark Ádám tér and Buda end of Margit Bridge on the Buda merging tram network. Public transport is also available at night, provided by bus 901 along the route of tram line 1.
The good news for families is that it is not necessary to leave the residential complex to make sure the youngest ones are attended to and cared for during the day, as there is a family nursery in Building E and a two-group municipal nursery in Building As for primary schools, you can choose from the selection of two traditional primary schools (Teleki Blanka, Péter Domokos Pál) and the “Kincskereső” Primary School working with the alternative curriculum, all within a 1.5-2 km radius of the complex. Secondary education is provided just as well, the Bethlen Gábor Általános Iskola és Gimnázium is 3 kms away.
You don't even have to get in a car to go shopping, the Újbuda Shopping Center, located on the other side of Budafoki út, is within a few minutes' walk, where services include a Tesco supermarket, a DM drugstore, a bookstore, a post office and a laundry as well.
