Dual Eco heating system

The new Dual Eco heating system implemented in the Madarász38 complex is more advanced in comparison with traditional gas central heating, making heating in these buildings even more efficient than in previous projects and driving costs further down. Two central boilers, both supplied by Dutch manufacturer Remeha, offering two different heating types will be installed. Besides traditional condensing boilers, heat pumps are also operated in the Dual Eco system. By absorbing energy from the air with the help of a compressor, the pressure of the gas inside the system is elevated. This results in temperature rise, which in turn is transferred to the heating circuit by a heat exchanger applying the same principle as implemented in modern air conditioners, just reversed, providing heating instead of cooling. The two types of boilers jointly produce the hot water fed into the radiators.

The different boilers are activated when they can deliver their power the most optimally, and in a way most conducive to producing hot water for heating, thereby driving heating costs down. The operational conditions for the heat pump are optimal during times without frost, when demand for heating is lower and the difference between inside and outside temperature is relatively small, and heating can be achieved by the heat pumps alone using just a small amount of energy, without the need for utilizing gas boilers. As temperatures go down, gas boilers start up one after the other taking over heating from the heat pumps of now decreasing efficiency, as gas boilers are the most efficient when they can deliver performance under maximum load.

The operation of the Dual Eco heating system is fully automatic. The different boilers turn on and off automatically depending on operational load and outside temperature, residents will not notice these background processes. Operational reliability is more than satisfying, if need be, the gas boilers can provide heating and hot water for the whole building alone, without the heat pumps. Controlling temperature and the radiators is done as usual, and hot water is instantly provided when the taps are opened. The only difference residents will notice is the lower amounts on the monthly utility bills. Just check heating bills against those of other residential buildings, the difference will speak for itself.
