Location
The location of Metrodom Őrmező is just ideal. This part of District 11 is popular for a reason; the quiet, relaxed streets, tree lined walkways, lots of greenery all lend the neighborhood a suburban chic. Metrodom Őrmező located in 30-38 Mikes Kelemen utca and 33 Őrmezei út has been designed to perfectly fit this environment. Thanks to the architectural design and features of the terrain, the residential complex is perfectly isolated from the noise of high-traffic throughways and offers a quiet, relaxed living environment while offering excellent transportation facilities.
The residential complex lies a mere 2 bus stops away (13 minutes) from Kelenföld railway station, the main transportation hub of south Buda. Besides the trains and Metro 4, high capacity transportation lines are also available here, tram No. 1, 19 and 49, and some one and a half dozen bus lines. Of the bus services reaching Kelenföld, seven lines (see in the frame) have a stop within a six-minute-walk. Night transportation is also problem-free; bus 941 going to Móricz Zsigmond körtér has a stop within a six-minute walk from the residential complex, while line 907 and 918 have stops at the Kelenföld railway station.
For families with children, both kindergartens and schools are within easy reach. The Neszmélyi út kindergarten can be reached in three minutes, while for those preferring alternative schooling, the ’Katicabogár’ Waldorf method kindergarten is a five-minute walk. The Őrmező Primary School is nine minutes on foot, the Weiner Leó Catholic Music School is five minutes away, and the Waldorf primary and secondary school (at 6 Repülőtéri út) is within a five-minute drive. Want schooling for the family dog? The Őrmező Dog School lies within a 15-minute walk.
The health center and ’Bazsalikom’ Pharmacy are within walking distance, Hungary’s most modern health institution, the South Buda super hospital currently under construction will also serve the Metrodom Őrmező residential complex. Quite a few restaurants, eateries and shops will also be available for residents, a Spar supermarket is a nine-minute walk, the new and modern Etele Plaza shopping mall is also being constructed already and, once completed, will be a four minute drive from the complex. There is no need to use a car for some family recreation, the recreational center, only a 15-minute walk, offers a bobsled track, indoor football field, mini golf and lots of other recreational facilities for the family.
